Losing an election can be a very bitter pill to swallow. Some Republicans are refusing to accept their loss and instead have begun beating the war drums of vengeance, promising to fight against not only the election results, but against democracy itself and the will of the People.
Donald Trump is a good example, he tweeted a few incendiary comments after the election results gave Obama a clear win. Here is a list of those tweets Yahoo! News provided for us: Read more
With "horses and bayonets" Mitt started a weak week, spending half the final debate getting trounced and half agreeing with the man doing the trouncing.
Then Murdouck made Mitt's week much worse, saying pregnancy from rape is what God's intended forcing Romney to decide if he defended the man he told Indiana to send to the Senate.
But $5 million brought the week to its worst -- offered by Mitt's own supporter, Donald Trump, who trumped Romney by mugging the media in a bigoted, foolish crusade to steal the spotlight.
Compared to what fellow GOPers have said, being mocked by the Prez was this week's high point

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney must realize by now that it has become a catch-22 situation with either the release or the continued unreleased of more of his tax returns – his campaign is probably going to be damaged either way. Read more

Since Republicans were given back the reins to the U.S. House of Representatives along with governor seats and state houses back in 2010, they’ve used those seats to push a certain agenda, which include anti-abortion legislation, bills and state constitutional amendments to block same-sex marriage and Voter ID laws and even voter purges, such as the voter purge efforts being pushed by Florida Governor Rick Scott. Danny and Mary in front of our little house - circa 1957.
The ghost in the doorway is me.
My father was a union man; a member in good standing of the International Hod Carriers, Building and Common Laborers Union of America. In the 1960s the name was shortened to the Laborers International Union.
Domenico was the youngest son of Italian immigrants making their way in a new country. Everyone called him Danny. As a young man he was quite good looking in that Italian sort of way. Slender, muscular and dark with a pencil mustache.
Danny had only one problem. He had epilepsy.
He had been hit by a car as a child while riding his bicycle and suffered a head injury. At least that is what I have been told by people who would know. Maybe it is true. Maybe not. Read more
Donald Trump continues to accuse Obama of not being born in America. President Obama produced his original birth certificate to quell the birthers who insisted on that document as proof he is an American-born citizen. Still, even after that proof, people like Donald Trump still refused to be convinced. That’s because he, like other birthers do not want to believe that Obama is just as American as they are. Obama is black with a strange name and that’s enough for those kinds of people to believe the worse about someone who is so different from they are. Read more
Q. Why is the GOP like a Baskin-Robbins franchise?
A. Because they're both suckers for the flavor of the week.
Scientists have yet to uncover what causes Republicans to recoil from their own candidates like a tomboy from frilly underwear. Perhaps they're commitment phobic. Or channeling the Christmas morning four-year-old in all of us, ignoring gifts already opened, only interested in the next package stacked in the pile. Maybe they need to switch to decaf. Read more
It has become an art form to call a person racist; to be more specific to call a white person a racist. Now, I will be the first to admit that 20 years ago people tended to over use the “you’re a racist” charge, which may have result in its decline as a serious charge today. But I find it ironic that people are very willing to levy that charge against African Americans and Hispanics. Read more
I want to know. You want to know. The whole world wants to know. What's the deal with the surprising retiring Republicans? Not age-related retiring, as in shawl on the lap watching the third DVD of the fifth season of "Matlock" with a glass of tepid tea on the side table. Retiring as in coy, reticent, withdrawn. Donald Trump made headlines earlier today when he provided what he said was a copy of his birth certificate -- but a quick check reveals it's actually not an official document.
The paper that Trump released says "Jamaica Hospital" on top and lists the date and time of what he says was his birth to "Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Trump." The piece of paper has a seal at the bottom. Read more
