4. Catch Phrase Creation: “War on Terror”, “Public Option”, “Stay The Course", “Mission Accomplished", "Yes we can", "Read my lips: no new taxes", "Drill baby Drill"

3. Allegiance To The Oh Mighty Dollar: If a donor has a suspect background but you think you can get away with taking his or her money; do it. And if you get caught deny you know the person until of course the photos come out with you too hugging

2. Fake Anger: When your opponent says something that can be taken out of context; do it. And then exaggerate your anger about it. Use words like “disgraceful”, “shocking”, “outrageous”, shameful”, etc. The more words you can use in one sentence the better…..

1. Self Preservation: If a bill makes sense and will help millions of people, but you may lose support within your own party if you vote for it. Then you must vote against it and claim it was morally reprehensible and a dangerous course for our country to take
